This sample shows a very basic use case of combining 3dVista Virtual Tour Pro with IFTTT-compliant hardware as well as interfacing with dynamic web services to provide a live outdoor temperature. Specifically, door sensor hardware is being used to detect whether a door is in the "open" or "closed" state. The tour is automatically updated to show the current state of the door and my current outdoor temperature.

Please review all of the steps below before clicking any of the links:

  1. Launch the tour in a new tab and notice the state of the "single door" off the kitchen.
  2. Leave the tour tab running and switch back to this tab.
  3. Since you obviously don't have access to the door sensor hardware that I'm using, you can trigger the same events using the following links:
    Simulate a 'door open' event
    Simulate a 'door close' event
  4. After clicking a link above, switch back to the tour tab and watch the door.

Note: In this example, the state of the door is typically updated within 10 seconds of the event.

Using the actual door sensor hardware is especially satisfying...
